Welcome to ApronsNBows!
I am proud to say I started this business in March 2012, just after my third child was born. When I was just a little girl I dreamt about being a business owner, but I also wanted to be a stay at home mother. With my inherent talents for sewing and my eye for design, I knew I had the seed for something special.
I have always been drawn to home economics, specifically sewing, designing and baking. As I watched my three beautiful children starting to grow, I realized just how much I wanted to create clothing for them. There is something special in a hand sewn garment; it is personal and unique, just like my children. Aprons combine my love of baking, sewing and designing and were a perfect fit for my growing business.
The name Aprons N' Bows came to me one night in a dream, the bow part actually refers to the bows and embellishments on my designs. I am most proud of my original designs; many of the items you will see in my store are the results of hours of hard work. I am also extremely proud to be a role model for my children. They love to be involved in the creative process, whether it is clipping a thread, helping pick out new fabrics or just giving their opinions on my sketches.
I strongly believe in the values of home economics, and to be able to teach my children how to successfully create and run a business while taking care of a family is a lesson that I consider invaluable. I also strongly believe in supporting other small business. Whenever possible, I choose to support families because I know when I spend my money with them it is appreciated. Many of my fabrics are sourced from work at home mothers like I, and while I recognize supporting small business can cost a little more upfront, the quality and ethics of this transaction is worth far more than a few dollars saved when the rest is given to a corporation.
I want to close by thanking you for considering my store. If you do decide to purchase from me, please know that even a single purchase helps support not only my family, but the families of the other small business owners I work with every day. Thank You!!
